Crown placement is typically completed in two visits. First, we will remove a thin layer of enamel to make room for the thickness of the crown. Then we make an impression of the teeth, which is sent to a dental lab where a crown will be custom made from a strong and esthetic material. The dentist will put a temporary crown on the tooth until the second visit. At the second visit, the temporary crown will be removed and the new permanent crown will be cemented.
